World Addition: Hiding spots!! From ACIII in particular, these would include benches (though those probably wouldn't hide so well outside of gameplay), piles of branches, and haystacks

Why is your character here: Connor took up arms against the Templars to protect his people and ensure their safety. Despite his efforts, he wasn't able to change their fate and he was forced to realize that it was probably an impossible goal from the start.

Character history: Ratonhnhaké:ton grew up in a village with his people. It was calm and they lived in harmony with nature, but he wouldn't know that peace for very long. To begin with, he was a child of mixed descent; his mother was a Mohawk and his father was an Englishman. But one day, when he was still just a child, he was playing hide and seek with the other children. The game, however, was cut short when Ratonhnhaké:ton was assaulted by a foreign man who demanded that he reveal the location of his village. Not giving in to the intimidation, he refused and asked for the offender's name, to which he obliged: Charles Lee. He was curious to know what the boy intended to do with the information, and the child promised that he would find him. Though he was laughed off, his life was spared, but he was rendered unconscious. By the time he came to, his village was in flames. He scrambled to find his mother, but she had been trapped by debris and ordered her son to flee. He refused many times, but another villager carried him to safety. She passsed away that day.

Years later, he and his people remained in the same village. Ratonhnhaké:ton would often question the decision, but the Clan Mother informed him that they had been given a task, a sacred duty to guard something close to this land. She revealed to him a spherical artifact. Upon touching it, he was faced with the vision of a woman who then guided him through a spiritual journey that led him to a mysterious symbol. When he regained senses, he traced the symbol into the sand. The Clan Mother recognized it and knew that a certain task had been assigned to him personally. So, she gave her permission for him to leave the village, and she directed him to the location where he would find what he was looking for.

Upon his arrival at the desginated location, a homestead out east, he found a run-down manor that was home to an elderly man. Though he explained that he had been directed there to receive training, the man refused. But Ratonhnhaké:ton was persistent! He spent several nights in the stable out back until one night, some bandits appeared. After confronting them about their business, they attacked him, and he fought them off until their leader struck him from behind. Before the situtation could turn worse, the old man came to his rescue. After that, he introduced himself as Achilles and explained that he was a Master Assassin and that he had been fighting his enemies, the Templars, for many years. It was then that he agreed to give Ratonhnhaké:ton the training he requested, along with a new name that wouldn't stand out quite so much: Connor.

From there, Connor spent months honing his abilities until it was finally time to put them to use. Achilles had detailed each important person among the Templars that needed to be eradicated. At the top of this list were two names Connor knew well: Charles Lee and Haytham Kenway... his father. The child born of two worlds would have to find his place within it and decide which path to take toward the future.

Character personality: Connor is a polite individual with a calm demeanor. He approaches others easily, especially if they are in need of assistance, and he will go to great lengths to help them out. As such, he's a likeable person that others can depend on. He is also modest about his endeavors, not one to take credit when giving aid since he sees it as a natural obligation that anyone would offer. He is perceptive to the needs of others and tends to earn trust quickly because he is very sincere and straightforward with his approaches. He seems mature when offering his advice, but in many ways, he is still a child. To begin with, it's his naivete that leads him to converse and act with such directness. He speaks from the perspective of his own beliefs and can therefore become stubborn when faced with opposition. He can also place his trust a little too easily, and because of his open personality, it's just as easy to have it betrayed.

There are also times when he loses himself in anger. The pain of losing his mother is a memory that cut deep, and he places the blame for it entirely on Charles Lee. When a situation concerns him, Connor finds it more difficult, if not impossible, to hold back. His emotions also fluctuate when his father is concerned. Though he vowed to eliminate the Templar bosses and was serious about his resolve to include his father on the list, he still tries to reason with him and even joins forces with him for some time. As a whole, Connor prefers to avoid senseless killing. He will use his skills to get the information he needs, but so long as his opponent is cooperative, he bears them no ill will.

Skill loss or memory loss? Memory Loss

Amnesiac Personality: Connor's memories are certainly what drives him. They help to fuel his desire to help others and to stand up against tyranny and corruption, but these are also virtues that are common sense to him. Even as a child, when he was threatened by Lee, he had a distinct idea of justice and therefore refused to oblige the man's request. What changes is simply that he isn't aware of a prevalent injustice. He doesn't have a reason to seek out conflicts to intervene, and so his current status would become that of a good samaritan. He hasn't been demonstrated a "right" or a "wrong," but he can recognize it when he sees it. The hardships he endured were what made him wiser to the ways of the world. Because he won't remember them, he has no reason to infer that anyone is his enemy. Only able to rely on his own instincts, he will probably be likely to take what people say at face value.

However, for the most part, there won't be much, if any, noticeable change. Connor tends to act naturally and without putting thought into it. He doesn't search for deeper meanings; his world is a very simple one. He is curious about the world around him and is likely to question things, but he is also accepting of the answers he receives, even if he doesn't fully understand them. Of course, without his memories, he will be very curious about his own past as well. He instinctively knows how to search for clues, and he'll be open to exploring. From there, he will simply have to draw his own conclusions until he can recall anything that could give him some definitive answers.

Voice Sample: SURVEY

Introduce yourself: My name is Connor Kenway.

Favorite color? I do not quite have a favorite color in particular. At least, it is something I have not given much thought. Though if I had to choose, "white" is a simple and yet strong color.

What do you pride yourself on? I am proud of the path that I have followed. It has not taken its course exactly as I had anticipated, but I still believe in the decisions that I have made. I was not able to accomplish my objective, but I know that I have made a difference.

What parts of yourself do you consider most essential? I believe that is my heart. It holds the memories that give me strength, and it guides me to act upon what I believe is right.

What parts of yourself would you get rid of if you could? If I could, I would cast aside any weaknesses. At times, I have felt uncertain, and there have been those who would use that doubt against me.

What’s most important to you in the world? I wish for a freedom to be enjoyed by all people, not just to those deemed "worthy."

How far would you go to get what you want? What matters is not what I want, but what should be given freely to any person.

Do you believe in survival of the fittest as applied in a social context? No. No man is more fit than any other for survival.

What role do you feel most comfortable fufilling in a team situation? I will do what is asked of me, but I am capable of leading men as well. I do not have any preference, myself.

Do you believe you made good choices? I cannot divide them by "good" or "bad." I acted as was necessary. In the end, my choices did not create the outcome I had intended. But would that have changed had I reconsidered my decisions? I accomplished the task that was given to me, and I do not regret that.
